En cualquier caso, debido a la calidad de los ponentes, creímos interesante que todo el mundo tuviera acceso libre a estas ponencias, sin importar su procedencia.

OBJETIVOS

Los objetivos de este congreso son:

  • Compartir una visión actualizada del tratamiento de la rodilla en el deporte, por especialistas que dedican su día a día a tratar a deportistas de alto nivel.
  • Que fisioterapeutas de todo el mundo tengan acceso libre a presentaciones de tres referentes mundiales de la fisioterapia deportiva.
  • Es de interés mencionar que a día de hoy estas ponencias han sido ya vistas por miles de personas de un total de 76 países de los cinco continentes.

Ponentes

Dr. Lee Herrington

  • El Dr. Lee Herrington es fisioterapeuta, investigador y profesor en rehabilitación de lesiones deportivas. Es especialista en rehabilitación de miembros inferiores con más de 20 años de experiencia trabajando con deportistas profesionales y olímpicos, en su evaluación, tratamiento y rehabilitación. Es profesor titular de Rehabilitación Deportiva en la Universidad de Salford, tiene un doctorado en dolor de rodilla y es fisioterapeuta senior en el English Institute of Sport.

Dr. Lars Engebretsen

  • Lars es profesor y director de investigación en el Centro Ortopédico del Hospital de la Universidad de Ullevaal y la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Oslo y profesor y copresidente del Centro de Investigación de Trauma Deportivo de Oslo. También es médico jefe de la Federación Noruega del Deporte, y dirigió el servicio médico en el Centro Olímpico de Noruega hasta el otoño de 2011. En 2007 fue nombrado Jefe de Ciencia e Investigación para el Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI). Lars Engebretsen es especialista en cirugía ortopédica y general y está autorizado como médico de medicina deportiva por la Sociedad Noruega de Medicina del Deporte. Sus áreas principales de investigación son la cirugía de lesiones de cartílago, lesiones combinadas y complejas de ligamentos de rodilla y técnicas de prevención de lesiones deportivas.

Dr. Bart Dingenen

  • Bart Dingenen combina el trabajo como investigador académico postdoctoral y profesor en la Universidad de Hasselt (Bélgica) con el trabajo clínico como fisioterapeuta deportivo en una clínica privada (Motion to Balance, Gante). Su principal interés es la optimización de las estrategias de prevención y rehabilitación de las lesiones de la extremidad inferior relacionadas con el deporte, incluidas las lesiones del ligamento cruzado anterior, la inestabilidad crónica de tobillo y las lesiones relacionadas con la carrera.
