¿QUÉ ENCONTRARÁS?

  • Este evento ha sido organizado en colaboración con Novavia Project y Guida Galattica per Fisioterapisti, a los que les estamos tremendamente agradecidos.

  • Ten presente que la forma en la que te presentamos este contenido difiere de las otras masterclass de esta plataforma (las otras masterclass son normalmente de mayor duración, presentan más contenidos complementarios y no se presentan en forma de webinar). En cualquier caso, debido a la calidad de los ponentes, creímos interesante que todo el mundo tuviera acceso libre a estas ponencias, sin importar su procedencia.

OBJETIVOS

Los objetivos de este congreso son:

  • Compartir una visión actualizada del tratamiento del hombro en el deporte por especialistas que dedican su día a día a tratar a deportistas de alto nivel.
  • Que fisioterapeutas de todo el mundo tengan acceso libre a presentaciones de tres referentes mundiales de la fisioterapia deportiva.
  • Es de interés mencionar que a día de hoy estas ponencias han sido ya vistas por miles de personas de un total de 76 países de los cinco continentes.

Ponentes

Jo Gibson

  • Jo Gibson es una fisioterapeuta especialista clínica que desempeña su labor en la Unidad de Extremidad Superior ubicada en el Royal Liverpool Hospital, Reino Unido. Imparte docencia sobre rehabilitación de hombro, nacional e internacionalmente. Está interesada en la investigación de la inestabilidad del hombro y el aprendizaje motor. Jo es actualmente parte del equipo de fisioterapeutas del Equipo Nacional Británico de Enduro Ecuestre. Es co-autora del cuadernillo GOST, una guía para cirujanos ortopédicos y terapeutas para el manejo de pacientes quirúrgicos y posquirúrgicos con lesiones de la extremidad superior.

Dr. Ian Horsley

  • Ian ha sido fisioterapeuta durante casi 30 años. Trabajó como fisioterapeuta para England Rugby Union, durante 14 años, con varios equipos. Actualmente, Ian es fisioterapeuta líder del North West English Institute of Sport, director clínico en Back In Action, en Wakefield, West Yorkshire, profesor asociado en la Universidad de Salford y miembro del EdCom para EUSSER y BESS. Terminó su doctorado en 2013, estudiando los problemas relacionados con las lesiones de hombro en el rugby profesional. También ha contribuido con capítulos a varios libros sobre el manejo de lesiones deportivas. Trabajó como parte del equipo médico de HQ para el equipo de Inglaterra en los Juegos de la Commonwealth de 2010 y 2014, fue miembro del equipo médico de HQ del equipo GB en los Juegos Olímpicos de 2012 y 2016 y actualmente es un fisioterapeuta consultor de England Football.

Martin Asker

  • Martin es fisioterapeuta doctor por la Karolinska Institute, Suecia. Su investigación se centra en la prevención de problemas de hombro y rodilla en jugadores de balonmano adolescentes. Participó en el Karolinska Handball Study (KHAST) que incluye un estudio de cohorte prospectivo y un ECA con el objetivo de reducir las lesiones de hombro y rodilla en jugadores de balonmano adolescentes. Este proyecto ahora es seguido por el proyecto Swedish Handball Cohort con el objetivo de tener una estrategia nacional de prevención de lesiones de hombro y rodilla en las escuelas en Suecia. Dedica su docencia principalmente a enseñar internacionalmente su experiencia en lesiones del miembro superior, especialmente centrándose en el mundo del balonmano, en el cuál desarrolló su tesis doctoral.
